'Leader of the free world' is a tired old phrase. I didn't make myself clear - i was thinking of all the rectionary males who are likely to end up with not only a woman but a black woman as thier comander in chief.

I know, but it certainly isn't Trump or America currently. Point being, they are struggling to lead themselves right now let alone a "free world". Angela Merkel was Time woman of the year, she has more right to call herself the "leader of the free world" and she's twice the man Trump thinks he is.
Whoever gets the job will be lucky they're not the president of France at the mo. Macron's taking a very typically French haughty and stubborn approach to the terrorist scum plaguing his nation and I applaud him for it, because it's a very high risk strategy, with the amount of maladjusted muslims living in France.
It sickens me how the whole Islamic world is condemning him for defending his national values, and in so doing justifying the butchering of innocent civilians. 
What kind of god are they worshipping? For a ten percent minority to demand their host nation change their whole cultural ethos so they don't get offended is really an extreme brand of political correctness, and shows how dangerous the loony concept can ultimately be.
With you on most of this - except the 10% minority are not demanding anything. A tiny percent of the ten percent are radical islamist terrorists - often recently from abroad - who are trying to push the state into moves that will rile the 10%. The problem France has - which wouldn't be a problem if the rest of the world took it up - is they refuse to allow ANY religion to be part of the state. Your a citizen of France - and that's it - nothing trumps that. What you do in your own time is up to you - but loyalty first and foremost is to the state. And you're right, Macron has an almost impossible task. If they were smart, they would pour money into the suburbs - the banlieu - where they have rather ghetto-ized the muslim community. Warm, well-fed, fully employed, decently housed people rarely take up arms. You'd think the French of all people would get this.
Nice report on France24 today about the white Trump supporters proudly declaring they all carry guns, and then warning that if Biden wins it must be due to cheating, so they have guns and are ready.
Was Trump being sarcastic the other day when he insinuated that people aren't dying of covid - all the doctors are lying about the deaths so they get paid more ?
