I read the news today oh boy! Page 1,707

I have quite a few of this guy's albums:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-31550251

Shocking offences no doubt, but should I allow this to detract from my enjoyment of his music? And if so, then is it still okay for me to continue to listen to:

a) the solo album
b) the album which he produced but on which he shares joint billing with other artists (Richard Thompson and the Fairport Rhythm Section)
c) albums by the early music ensemble which he leads (The New London Consort)
d) albums by a band of which he was once a member of (The Albion Band)
e) albums on which he played as a session musician (hundreds, across all genres)

also can I watch films to which he wrote the score (e.g. Time Bandits)?

../ should I allow this to deteract from my enjoyment of his music.

Do you get a concious choice though? Isn't more of a subconscious effect?

Well it's rather up to you isn't it!

Some people can separate, some can't.

I chucked the Rolf Harris CD which he signed for me at Glastonbury. Worse, my favourite album of the 2000-2009 decade was "Aerial" by Kate Bush and he is on a substantial part of it. That hasn't been chucked - and fortunately the best track, "Sunset", doesn't feature him - but it isn't any longer my favourite album of that decade. It is all sad. The easiest way would be to think of how things seemed.....rather than as they were.

I didn't know who he was and quickly looked on BBC news before completely reading your post but there was no mention there of this part of his life. (I'm willing to be corrected though if I didn't read it properly.

Just imagine the meeting when they were trying to think of a name for the building.............

"Hey! I've thought of a great name for it"

I'm glad that Birdman won best film at the Oscars.

Jack Straw...

Another example of the sort of Nu-Labour WANKER that infiltrated and ripped the heart and soul out of the Labour Party

Self serving money grabbing shithouse

I don't think he can be called Nu-Labour. He's been a hypocritical "Socialist" for about 30 years if not more.

In my opinion, Miliband's Labour won't deliver either.

Did I ever mention that my A'level politics teacher, with whom I got on well, is Tim Farron's secretary?

I have fantasies about influencing. Come the day......and just 34 years on, this wheel is about to turn. :)

I can believe the allegations against most of the accused but somehow if doesn't seem to ring true about Cliff Richards. No doubt time will tell.

I really hope not because there are a lot of Cliff songs that I have a direct link through to happy childhood memories, like this old classic.
