Murder definition:- the unlawful premeditated killing of one human being by another. The key word there is "unlawful". If they were tried, found guilty and executed by legal process it would not be murder.

Murderers always try to get out of any moral judgement by nit picking and pedancy. ;)

When you're talking about ending a human life, I think it best not to go purely off dictionary definitions.

Zooo c'mon it's a Biblical definition or ancient Roman.

Either way the state has always reserved the right to take life under certain circumstances or we wouldn't have a military.

well that kind of throws 50 shades into consequence.

What the blue f**k are some men wanking over???

Herc if there was the death sentence and it followed the pattern of the 1950s-60s Kenneth would have been out of prison a decade ago.

The sentence if you were convicted of murder was life or death, if it was life unless you were very naughty inside it was 12 years.

Noys a clever, probably sociopathic rich arsehole who can afford the best lawyers. He got away with murdering a police officer, he would have got life and out in 12.

If you think that the courts will magically execute only those who really deserve it, then I've a bridge you may want to buy.

More's the pity, speaking of which (pun coming up) why is Ian Brady still breathing?

Nit picking pedancy, Moi? Just stating a fact. Angelic

I think he's a useful canary in the Coal mine of human rights. I'd rather have him alive and Derek Bentley spared, then both of them dead if that makes sense?

He's a pointless person living his life in a cage.

I actually read his book years ago (a friend wanted a copy and I found a second hand one on line). Goes to show most of these murderers are boring, pointless, vain people.

Very many happy returns. You come across - delightfully - as so much younger. My old Nan worked until she was 80 and only gave up when the Government pulled her shop down. From memory, it didn't give her any medals but it did stick her on the sixth floor of a a tower block with piss drenched lifts that mostly didn't work. Continue in employment if you genuinely wish to - but otherwise feel under no obligation whatsoever.

Are you sure these were lifts and not the Gents?

Well thank you! :D People at work were shocked when they found out how old I was (in celebrating THAT decade), so I must be doing something right. Am retiring next month though as I have had enough and the pension pot is now big enough. :)

Difficult to say. What they weren't was a pension pot. The shop was always rented and so when it went under bulldozer, it was to be a flat for her that was a stone's throw from Nelson Mandela House. At least, where NMH was supposed to be. When I went up to university studiously avoiding all the people called Giles and Tabitha, I was handed a record with a track that summed it all up neatly up for me. It was this one:
