I read the news today oh boy! Page 1,603

Not an assault - you can't assault an object (or if you can, dildos have been having a rough time of it for years.)

I suppose on one view it is exposure - but really. They were cleaners. It was his room. I suspect the college cleaners at my university saw a lot worse!

If UKIP put out lots of policies you don't really like, will you be okay? Worried for you.

As Farage is a smoker and a drinker, I don't think that's going to happen.

What's been making me chuckle this week is the number of lefties who said they'd leave the country if UKIP got into power. I hope they don't want to go to Australia, America, Canada or New Zealand, they have quite strict immigration controls.

Perhaps they could go and live in France, nope, that's controlled by the National Front and has camps next to the sea ports full of immigrants wanting to come to Britain.

Germany - there ya go, we can send our lefties to Berlin. They hate the Nazis, always vote left wing and have high employment. I hope our British lefties start leaving soon.

But it is the fact that the defendant ignored the knocking.

If he heard the knocking but kept on rocking, then his intent was to observed and he is most assuredly guilty.

Whatever my learned friend got upto in her halcyon college days.

The, sorry sir the dog ate my manifesto excuse, is perhaps one of the more depressing things in the UK's collapsing democracy.

Manifestos change because society changes. Under Michael Foot, Labour stood on a platform of unilateral nuclear disarmament, higher taxes, a more interventionist industrial policy, nationalisation of the banks and abolition of the House of Lords.

Aside from taxes, there is none of that in Labour's current manifesto - I say current, because it will probably change quite a lot when UKIP announce their manifesto.

Yes but they had a manifesto so they had to justify changing it, look at the shellacking lib dems are getting over not sticking to theirs.

Labour and the Conservatives changed theirs slowly and painfully and had to take a lot of flack over it.

Both parties have been around for a hundred years or more and have been in power a number of times. If you want to get incredibly angry at the lack of manifesto for a party with zero MPs, then you are more then entitled to, I guess.

No one's getting incredibly angry about anything.

I'm more sad about the BBC's political coverage having the substance of bird shit.

Do try and at least slightly pay attention to what people say.

UKIP had a comedy manifesto up until 2012 and haven't replaced it. Fine good for them, it's almost an experiment in responsive peoples democracy, that lots of people have been talking about.

What concerns me is the BBC aren't challenging Nige, simply because it makes good telly.

They've ditched the flat tax? But that was so proportionate and fair :(

Last I heard the proposed rate was 31%, down 9% for the well off and up 11% for the rest.

On the BBC this morning Nige said no tax for people on minimum wage and retaining the 40 percent rate for the highest earners.

Did he say what the rate would be for those between the two?

Nope but he smiled winningly and chuckled, so I pictured him quaffing a pint of beer and smoking a fag.

No but seriously he's keeping it the same I think. It's the same thing of reducing the tax burden by reducing admin in the NHS etc.

Can 'journalism' get any lower that this?
