That said there seems to be less nest feathering then there was in the final days of Majors cabinet. I know they have their faces buried in the expenses trough, but there's less dodgy directorships.
Mellor was aparently one of the best culture ministers this country had.

Oh, I wouldn't be so sure of that. Give it a few months.
Although in reality, I doubt any of them are suitably competent to take up such positions.
I think I could do a 2 hour a week directorship, where my sole role was to pinch my secretaries arse and collect a huge cheque.
Mandelson one of the last skilled Labour politicos seems to be the only one caught taking an actual real genuine bribe.
The rest I suspect lack the imagination.
Oh and Tony got loads of dosh, but funnily enough I suspect people genuinely pay to hear him speak.
The Yanks seem to idolise him. Quite a bizarre country indeed. Having said that, the British electorate voted him three elections in a row.

After the initial awkwardness subsides from tapping your neighbors there will be no longer a need fora culture minister.

BTW, that's culture as in the arts. Television. Radio. Literature. Not ethnic cultures.
