Just saw a 'behind the scenes' look at David Cameron's speech. While the actual screened event gave every appearance of being in front of a massive stadium full of people, in fact it was a virtually empty one, with just a few chairs set out in the middle, surrounded by acres of emptiness. This was quite deliberate, because only a few people were invited. It's weird how much deception there is; they even had the TV cameras way back, behind all the emptiness, so the images jerked around to suggest a vast attendance.
(Apparently this isn't just what Cameron does, it's common practise)
