Free at Last

Written for Treason/Newsrevue:

GEORGE BUSH and AIDE

BUSH:Free at last! Free at last!

AIDE:Sorry, Mr. President?

BUSH:Change we need!

AIDE:Sir?

BUSH:This is a moment of historical monumentiosity.

AIDE:I'd no idea you felt this way about a black President, sir.

BUSH:O'Banana? I'm talkin' about Dubya.

AIDE:You mean?

BUSH:Can I leave the White House now? (Raising fists in celebration) Yes I can!

END

Neat if a little predictable.

Good as a quickie in the shows I think. As long as they don't dwell too long on it.

Dan

Thanks for feedback.

I suspect it's more Treason than Newsrevue.

And I'm certainly going to miss Bush. If Palin disappears back into the Alaskan night, it could be a tough time for American topical comedy.

Hasn't she said/hinted she'll be back in four years' time? Pull all the same sketches out again then :)

Dan

She'll be back, like Sauron.
