Interesting chat tonight on BBC 5 Live with Bain and Armstrong about the writing of Peep Show (and plugging their new script book). It should turn up at some point on "listen again" here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/fivelive/programmes/bacon.shtml
Interview was between 11 and 11.30 tonight, which should begin about 60 mins or so into the programme.
One of the most interesting points, I thought, was how their knowledge of the industry (through relatives of one of them - I can't remember which) only meant they were aware of knock-backs as a fact of life; they didn't let themselves be put off too much by rejection, and just kept on trying.
