dont forget a lot of these lists are very very guess work....i have a couple of clients that appear on similar lists where people will say they get £5m per movie, have done 4 so they are worth £20m.

It's as daft as saying someone on £50k pa for 10 years is worth £500,000. It makes no allowance for 40% taxation, big spending to up keep the lifestyle and (at the moment, their portfolios and property values falling) Also, those who have their own production companies get some daft figures because people take the values that are floated about for those and the turn over/profit/whatever of a company often has little relationship with the actual net worth of a director.

Sure they are rich.....but (to steal from Chris Rock) theres plenty of people at the top of other businesses that would take a header out the window if they woke up with their money.

JIMMY MULVILLE - £20million

:O Jesus Christ I was only chatting to him a few weeks ago! If I'd known he was that rich I wouldn't have bought him that drink!

(Well to be fair the drinks were free but that's hardly the point.)

As if it wasn't obvious after the last week (rossgate) the secret is your own prod company (or launch a good a cartoon)

I bet John Cleese's wealth has taken a battering over this last year. He had to sell two homes apparently, just to pay for his divorce.

Yes, he's said it's been shocking beyond belief. Poor guy.

I did hear him say in an interview that it would be worth every penny though.

It would be good if Ricky Gervais started his own production company. Then we might see some Gervais-approved, decent sitcoms being made.

I'm not sure setting up his own company is his style. He just wants to write his own stuff, not nurture talent. That's the impression I get.

Ah yes, that was on the Richard and Judy thing a couple of months ago. :)
