The Most Terrifying Movie Scenes Ever Page 4

Hands-down the scariest film I've ever seen is The Changeling starring George C Scott. Monster movies don't affect me at all, but ghost tales are another story. Trailer here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iSx5zepTvo4

Was it set in a Jersey children's home?

Hah - no.

I wrote an American Werewolf sketch for our Comedy Lab punt but it didn't get filmed because we couldn't get Jimmy Saville. Work THAT one out if you can!
:)

Is it somebody being bitten by Jimmy saville and later changing into him?

I like the idea of the Savile-wolf howling eurgh-eurgh-eurgh.

:)

Good old Jimmy. Why isn't he dead yet?

He's on Saville Row awaiting his execution

Waheyy!

The Others. I cannot really pinpoint any scenes, it just got scarier and scarier from a rather humble beginning...

No but I like it.

Hard to beat the girl exiting the telly in The Ring, especially the original Japanese version. One film that terrified me as a child was Child's Play. With Chucky. And Poltergeist, with the clown. Mind you, even the clown in Octopussy gives me the Heebee Jeebies

Lee and David - what about 'Heebee Jeebies' as a name for your sketch pilot?

I do declare that you're all wimps.

But it's fun to be scared by films!!

Well, unless it's a clown.

What? A midget clown !?

Cheers Nick but that ship's sailed now. It's all in the lap of the comedy Gods now, nestling next to their holy comedy bollocks.

Oh no, I wouldn't mind a midget anything. I can run away from an ickle clown, zombie or werewolf. Possibly.

It certainly wasn't a very scary film, but it did have a surprise unhappy ending, and I'm trying to think of the name of it for something - maybe someone on here knows; it was made and set in the 1970s and featured two couples going on holiday in motorhomes. I think there may have been a wife-swapping subplot. One of the men, I think, was the guy from M*A*S*H with curly hair. They are attacked by a group of devil-worshipping hippies and their motorhome burnt, or something. A sort of poor Wicker Man plot.
