British Teenagers: Worst ever in history of world?

I know it's the perenial grumble of adults, but is it just me or are today's teenagers the foulest most repellent human beings ever? I saw some teenagers on the news yesterday whining about how the Mosquito device infringes their human rights and treats them as if they were rats, and I thought, "You are no better than rats. You hang around on street corners verbally and physically abusing the old and weak, and your excuse is that your bored." There is a tangible air of fear and anxiety on our streets nowadays and it's all down to modern teenagers.

Basically each generations pushes the boundaries a bit further and the parents let them do it.

God help us in 50 years time - although I won't be around then.

Yeah, you will. Some teenagers will spike your Meals on Wheels with the new anti-death drug and will keep you alive just to torture you with whatever's on Radio 1 then (probably some sort of anti-noise that was made famous on the 3-d galactaweb)

He'd still like it though. Have you noticed his music tastes?

To the original point, I agree. Nasty little shits.

I don't like it that I feel scared on the bus when there are a crowd of young teenagers on there. I know a lot of the time it's fine - but I can't help but worry! :(

It makes me want to start a fight first and beat them to it!

I just feel, well not scared but 'unnerved' perhaps, around teenagers at all. Which is why I never leave the house.

Bloody Labour. Giving people "human rights".

Loveable Scousers? Don't make me laugh.

I understand that scousers resented Bread for portraying them in a bad light. However there was never any real violence.

I just caught part of a progamme about Dangerous Dogs and one bloke who breeds Pit Bulls. He just sneered when they mentioned that they were banned under Dangerous Dogs Act.

The worst example in the public eye is Joey Barton (Newcastle footballer) who assaults people on and off the pitch. He famously stubbed a cigar out in the eye of a young team mate. He makes Rooney look an angel and look at the contempt with which he treats a referees authority. Sneering, snarling and swearing.

PS - sorry to get heavy

Some people shouldn't be allowed to procreate.

Dunno if it was a Sci-Fi story or something else.

Someone suggested that as soon as babies are born they are operated on so that they cannot have children unless they have another op - which they have to apply for - when they're ready and able to have a family.

It's all very well to push boundaries, but where does that end? Are you pushing a boundary if you kick someone to death? It seems to me that the veneer of civilization is pretty thin for some of today's kids (teens and younger). I was just reading yesterday about two men who'd been attacked on the streets: one dead, the other in intensive care. On the next page was an article about fire crews being pelted with bricks, bottles etc, and shot at. It's Lord of the flies out there.

I do feel uneasy sometimes when passing some of them in the street. Not threatened perhaps, but I'd rather they or I weren't there.

Those kids jailed for kicking that bloke to death are thinking of appealing.

I wish I could remember the documentary I saw on the CBC about one particularly dangerous city in England. These teens walking around at night just basically looking to fight people as they proudly showed their 'battle scars". They were all in their early teens though YIKES!
Anyways it was pretty shocking, I don't know how anyone could live in a city like that.

Laughing out loud

Me being 18 I feel its my duty to defend the youth on this post. Yes of course there are idiots who cause trouble and maybe the worst teenagers of all time but there are also teenagers who are getting the highest exam results ever. Also surely, there has always been a minority of teenagers that have caused trouble? I also feel that maybe the media aren't helping.

Also Dave, not all scousers are idiots. Yes, Barton and Rooney are but I could pick out two famous people who aren't good role models from any other area in the country.

Good to get that of my chest (I may be completely wrong, but thats my opinion)

Paul!

Calm down.
