Count Arthur Strong - Series 1 (TV)

I am quite looking forward towards this on 8th July. I have never ever heard of it though, I have found out that it was a radio show.

Can anybody give me any details on the show, please?

Yeah me too. Big Linehan-Mathews fan, so I hope it doesn't disappoint.

Have no clue about the radio show, would love to know more myself.

Someone should set up a website to provide such information...!

Oops, sorry about that. :P

So Mathews is not in on this one? Did they split up or something?

FTR. I hope Linehan doesn't move away from his signature surreal/silly style sitcom.

He is not. I'm not sure there's been a formal split as such, and I think they may have contributed together to a couple of recent sketch shows (will have to double check), but they do seem to be mostly working independently.

It won't be too surreal but it'll definitely be silly. He's coming on something very much pre defined in many ways by the character's existing style and nature.

I sure do hope it's a one off thing - would be such a shame to see them break up, if this is permanent. What has Linehan done independently though? Nothing pops to mind?

Er, your avatar, The IT Crowd? I don't think Mathews was involved in Black Books either?

I'm not sure they've done much together since Father Ted, have they? When was Big Train?

Oh goodness, I was under the strange impression that he was involved in The IT Crowd too. :$

He was involved in Black Books, right?

PS: http://www.theitcrowd.co.uk/news/interview-at-home-with-the-linehans.htm found this, so fair enough then if that's the case.

Linehan co-wrote Series 1. Mathews is credited as a writer on one episode of Series 2. So, yes. But no.

Laughing out loud Whilst BCG does give me the general info... I want to know more in-depth about it as I've never even heard of the radio show! But I'm sure I'll give the TV series a go...

Click through, Greg. All of the information is there.

I'm not very familiar with Count Arthur Strong, but if Linehan's involved then it's worth a watch.
