Sorry, how would reading all the critique threads somehow make this particular sketch any better ?. Please explain .

If you missed the point by that much I feel sorry for your valentine

It seems there is a lot of back slapping on this site, which I suppose is 'nice' but it doesn't do anyone any favours in the long run does it.

To be fair, Pat is entitled to their opinion.

My topical writing is aimed at the NewsRevue audience, therefore its quite simple and picks on the usual tabloid targets. So, yeah, it is pretty unoriginal, but that seems to be what the audiences like.

I applaud your honesty Winterlight. But why not aim a bit higher ?.

I liked it Winterlight, but I think it could be tighter and I like Adam's suggestion.

Let's be honest for once, This sketch is boring, predictable and totally unoriginal. It seems there is a lot of back slapping on this site...

Well, I for one only say anything if I think there's anything worth saying.

I've the benefit of seeing enough of Winterlight's stuff to know that he's not an idiot and so it was pretty obvious (to me) that he already knew it was a comparatively rough and uninspiring comedy-by-numbers-trifle. So you don't need to worry in this instance about being a crusader for Truth.

Other than rewriting the sketch entirely it can't be elevated to being a great sketch but I think everyone knows that.

There might be a lot of back-slapping on the site but it's just people being friendly. I for one always try to be honest when I do choose to say something though, as do several others.
