The dog stops and proceeds to have a dump.
The man pulls out a white plastic bag, bends over in the general direction of the offending deposit, stretches out his arm, feels around and picks up a sizeable gold nugget, which he discards as too heavy and throws away. He continues to fumble in the dust.

If he just bagged it and then the dg continued to drag him along would be funny.
