Site Pest

Obvious? Possibly. Been done before? Probably, just needed to exorcise it from my brainbox.

EXT. BUILDING SITE. DAY.

THE SITE FOREMAN IS STANDING AROUND LOOKING UP AND SCRATCHING HIS HEAD, A PEST CONTROL GUY WALKS UP TO HIM.

P\C:
Hi, I'm John from Extermapest, you must be Ian. What seems to be the problem the dispatcher wasn't clear?

FOREMAN:
Thank God you're here. It's every time we setup a site, we get the scaffolding up and bam, they move in.

WE REVEAL THAT STANDING AT THE TOP OF BUILDING SITE IS A LARGE MONKEY, HE IS CARRYING AND THREATENING TO THROW MINITURE BARRELS AT PEOPLE.

FOREMAN:
F**king monkeys!

P\C:
Don't worry we'll soon get rid of him, I'll get my best man on the job.

SUDDENLY A MAN DRESSED AS MARIO WITH A LARGE HAMMER ENTERS.

P\C:
Mario, usual drill.

END

Monkey? barrels? large hammer? what does this mean?

Sorry it's been done before, good to see you again Danny.

Hows the wives?

I think a fresh spin could work.

It's the format of Super Mario the video game.
The first half of this sketch came across as being potentially very funny and I was hooked, but the Super Mario ending flattened the thing.
If it had a better ending it would be very good.

Hey Joel, all good here, wives are in rude health, sadly not rude and in health.

Yeah thought it probably had been done before, as I said.

This was just a throw-away I came up with (and perhaps I should've done just that) whilst writing stuff after an meeting.

Probably influenced by the fact I had watched Wreck-It-Ralph

Plus in my head was that it could be a call back to the guy from one of our old sketches below.

Infestation

Never gonna film it (which is probably a good thing) so hence I thought I'd torture you lot with it :)

wreck it ralf is great

Donkey Kong, rather than Super Mario.

I stand corrected Tim, I was in the ball park though to be fair.

Actually, I think it was Super Mario in the game Donkey Kong. I seem to remember that was his first appearance.

Hence the appearance of Mario at the end of my 'sketch'. :)

But he was still called Jumpman at that point, so you're wrong ackcherlee.

Everyone should watch the Donkey Kong documentary, The King of Kong. There's a kill screen coming up.
