British Comedy Guide

Hello, my name is Reg Christie, excuse me...

Now then, I have been a longtime comedy fan. My favourites being Are You Being Served? and all the Croft stuff, my wife and I once did a costume fitting for Mother Goose for John Inman, and I had the pleasure of him. I'm on the other side of fifty, I'm from Blackpool, Lancashire and I live with my wife Bunny in a former Victorian seaside house, that acts as a theatrical costume warehouse for our jobs as theatrical costumiers.
Any questions to ask me?

By the way, I'm not the infamous serial killer John Reginald Christie, though my father was his cousin. Said he was a queer chap, as in weird not as in gay, "Our John was the silent type, you know," he useta say.

I am lost here, is this the opening to a character/standup monologue or a quote from something I am not aware of, or just an introduction to yourself?

Im testing out a sitcom character I created

Ah ok, can you post some more so it is easier to offer feedback?
