If there are Dog races, why not Cat races?

Because dogs do exactly what they're told. Cats have better things to do. Like lick their bums.

Ah the flood

Another mystery

Could have been due to the 'water canopy' collapsing

Some people believe that underneath the ozone layer there used to be a layer of water vapour and ice in the sky around the Earth - a water canopy

Something caused this water canopy to collapse and fall to earth , causing it to flood the land completely with rain

Whilst there was this water canopy all the earth was all grass and trees n shit - it protected the land from the Suns heat - after it disappeared we ended up with deserts

A typo in an ancient early chemistry document? It's really an ozone layer which I think is O3; accidentally transcribed as H2O water? Easily done if it was originally written as OH2

Geek

One small problem with the "water canopy" idea is that everyone underneath would be subjected to the pressure of that water. If there was enough water up there to form the oceans, it means Noah would live at a pressure equivalent to 9km underwater. Also, to keep the water as vapour, the temperature would have to be literally boiling.

That's a 'small' problem??

Yes, because while the water canopy is ridiculously unlikely, it's not physically impossible, unlike some things in the bible.

I am kind of fond of the Adam and Eve theory, that Adam and Eve weren't the first people on earth but the first Jewish people, the Land of Nod or East of Eden being where the non Jewish live and where Kane is banished to. Always upsets people who take things to literally that one.

I hae never encountered a zebra (they don't hang around Sauchiehall Street much) therefore haven't developed a problem with them.

Have

I once met a camel. In West Kensington.

Stories like A & E were around in the world hundreds of years before the bible was even written

So even then they were old fables and folklore that had been changed and misinterpreted down the years

Of course, some nutters claim that the 'serpent' in the garden of Eden wasn't a snake but the first reptilian that arrived on earth that impregnated Eve!

Of course it could be the other way around and Adam & Eve were the first humans on Earth ? having come from another planet, either planted as an experiment (by an Alien called Yehovah ?) or crashlanded. Or the garden of Eden was actually a different planet and they broke the rules there and were banished to Earth.

? A very popular theme in Science Fiction stories.
