What are you drinking? Page 139

If you ever get a chance to try one of the Dunkerton's bottled ciders, you should.
They make it a couple of miles down the road and it is v.quaffable.

I'll look out for it.
Always willing to try a few different ones.

Although the 9.5% one from the Cider farm I had the other day may have been a mistake in hindsight.

I bloody hate booze that's stronger than it should be.
Trying to find a white wine below 13% these days is a right arse ache.
6% is max for cider in my books.
There's a lovely local pint (ale) from the local Ludlow Brewery that's 3.2% - you can really quench your thirst on it.
The pursuit of super-strength booze is barmy IMHO

Yes
When a drink is hard work to get through, it seems to miss the point.

I'm not sure I agree with that. A nice bottle of Thomas Hardy Ale (about 13%) is a nice drink as long as you pace yourself. Quaffing it down like a pint of Fosters isn't advisable...

i just find some booze 'carries' the alcohol level a lot better than others - plus I have a certain mindset when faced with different types of booze.
13% is just like red wine so I guess if it's approached that way it could work.
But for me Beer=Thirsty, Wine=Food, Spirits=Drunk

I don't know if anyone's tried it but you would never know that Duvel is 8.5%

Until you've had about eight that is !

Nowthat's a lovely drop.

Some how the Flemish countries have mastered incredibly strong but drinkable beers.

Sophisticated but mental.

Benylin.

That's nice but you really need to stop drinking it through a straw at your desk at work.

This 10% bad boy was my tipple of choice on my last trip to Holland.

This is going down a treat.
Must try to save some for the dear lady wife who's on her way home.

See.
Even the pictures got blurred vision.
Too strong, I say!

EDIT
Now I'm bloody seeing things.
Was there a giant picture of Chamay bottles up there just now?

Becks.

I take it the edit was the bottom line added as an afterthought ?

:D

No, I couldn't find a small one so gave up !

There, that's better . . I forgot what we're talking about now !

Thank Gawd for that - I thought I was having a 'moment'.
