The punch line was good.

A bit like Everton's new badge then :)

This has got some nice ideas and the callbacks on Jeremy Kyle are very good.

That said the IDS expenses joke is dated.

It's also a little I dunno joke heavy, when you might wanna make it a bit more human and story telling.

I just don't get why you put a copyright sign on it at all?
It's a two minute set containing a few decent jokes. I just think that if potential producers see a copyright sign they skip the person as they look like hard work.
I could be wrong and often am but that's my take on it

I did a copy and paste from my website and the copyright thing is on there didn't mean to put it on here. I fail to see the problem with it anyway can't see why a producer would be so annoyed that someone had copyright of their work. The whole point if you're writing a script (in this case I'm not) but if I was the whole point is to sell your work and if you don't want a producer to see it and pinch it then it's best to copyright it.

Ok if it works for you.

It works for most people in the industry unless you like people stealing your material I don't see how it can't work.

If people want to steal my stuff that's up to them.
I might be a skint wanna be but I'd rather stay that way than resort to plagerising.

Well you're wide open for being ripped off then.

aye it would see, that way, but what are my options, stop writing and posting?

Posting it on here - with or without copyright disclaimers you are open to having your material used/reworked either way.

Critique is more of a 'see if I am hitting the right notes' than putting up finished work that you expect to sell.

No, if you have a script and you're sending it to a production company or a producer just make sure you keep proof that you sent it to them. Email it to yourself, save the dates put a watermark on the script. No one said stop writing or stop posting. If I post something I make sure I have proof that it is my own work. Obviously if something is similar I can't argue but if it's the exact same I have proof that I did it first.

I hope you have kept a record of this reply, I would hate it to turn up on 'Points Of View'

It won't turn up on Points Of View don't worry as my act isn't for the BBC.
