No No No. It's definitely not movie material, it just would not work at all. Anyway they'll never make one now will they? It ended in 1995 we shall never see this again now
Well poor Richard I felt sorry for him.It must be tiring to be married to her.

Yes and she wouldn't want to do this now anyway when it finished nearly 20 years ago.
I would call Keeping Up Appearances a bit of a sleeper. It's rarely going to feature in any 'Greatest Ever...' lists nor is it going to be mentioned in the same breath as some of the elite British comedies, but for the sheer amount of memorable moments and quotes that came out of it, surely there isn't many that come close? On top of that it has some of the easiest to recognise characters ever and I also feel it has a totally different look to most sitcoms before or since.
It was voted the 12th best British sitcom ever!
That surprises me that it's that high, but great to see it gets some of the recognition it deserves.
Just watching the episode where Emmet first appears.
Hyacinth standing behind Elizabeth waves her arms to stop Richard saying something stupid and she hits her on the arm. Elizabeth turns round laughing. It obviously wasn't supposed to happen.
Quote: Lee @ October 18 2012, 12:04 PM BSTI've been watching this today and it's left me asking why we don't have anything like this on now? It's hilarious, daft, witty, farcical and just plain fun.
C'mon BBC!
Have you ever heard of Miranda?
