I've just seen... Page 359

I was in Lourdes for the day when I was 16 and I've yet to find the holy stuff. It seemed full of stalls with tourist stuff and an old man tried to steal my duffel bag. Melted into the crowd when I turned and glared at him.

Steal ... or bless your duffel bag? Eh?

Bless my arse! He definitely tried to steal it. (the duffel bag, not my arse)

A car when past a police van at 80 mph and they went chasing it like in Fast and Furious.

The Devil's Business. Creepy British occult horror about two hit men on a job that spirals disasterously out of control. Bizarrely, this was released at the same time as The Kill List, which covers very similar ground. Both are cracking little films.

I watched American Psycho last night which I rather enjoyed. Christian Bale really captured the personality of a psychopath, but I'm not sure if the attributes that make a psychopath were a bit exaggerated. The fact that he constantly gets away with everything confused me a bit, especially when he confesses everything to his lawyer. A fun watch though and I think I'll check the book out.

That's my boy the new Adam Sandler movie

Damn it made me laugh

Great film.

Haven's seen American Psycho in years, but isn't it suggested (SPOILER)
at the end that much of it may have been in his head?

No, it turns out he is a ghost.

What suggests that?

He says he's killed someone (not sure if it's someone you see him kill) but at end turns out he's just been away on holiday, not dead. Something like that. As I say, it's been years so I can't remember properly, but I remember being left with the idea that some of it at least was in his head.

I think you might be right! I think he must have "absences" where he fantasies about doing stuff? I feel like I need to watch it again to see.

The Big Bus. Disaster movie about a nuclear powered double decker bus. Enjoyable spoof that pre-dates Airplane! by about five years.

That's a great film the brawl in the bus drivers bar always cracks me up

Open Range. A good western that climaxes with a fantastic big dirty gunfight. I love a bit of Kevin Costner.

Yeah, it's a pity spoof films in recent years have become so lazy and dire, because when they're done well they're great fun.
