You can unlock a phone screen in an instant by Swyping a pattern, that's how easy a card reader should be.
I already enter a pin code and password to access online banking and after a few minutes the page "times out" too. My Dad is equally annoyed with the card-reader and his vision isn't what it was, he can barely see the tiny LCD screen and can't type the number in quick enough before it times out. It's awful, awful.

Both of which can be found by someone monitoring your Wi-Fi.
Your TTPYO should be with that bank's website programming, not the card reader concept itself.
Your dad should report the difficulty to the bank to encourage them to develop a bigger display on the reader and a better website design.
Or buy a big magnifying glass, with a stand

My heart sinks when asked for this, mine was driving me mad as the digits were all faded once so I couldn't make them out but I used it the other night and it did behave itself.

Just discovered my Nationwide one has a CONTRAST option on the Menu button.
With CONTRAST selected pressing 1 reduces contrast pressing 3 increases it.
All the worms that get washed onto the pavements when it rains.
Walking anywhere is literally murder.
