RIP Paul.

I saw him when he was a comedian doing the northern club circuit.

He had a trademark gag about a man selling a dancing duck which was funny every time you heard it.

RIP. Hi-De-Hi was a great mainstream sitcom with a great ensemble cast, and Paul Shane a big part of its success.

Our film, The Grey Mile, was Paul's last filmed production. A pleasure to work with him. A true professional despite his age and great fun in the bar after filming each day. RIP.

Here is the film incase you are interested: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RfbhX94t1vE

RIP.

I'm not sure I caught him as Solomon Dingle, don't watch Emmerdale that much.
