Alec Guinness on Parkinson, fascinating man

Where is that on?

For all Parky's faults his interviews with the legends were very memorable, simply because he knew how to keep his mouth shut.

I dread to think what Orson Welles would have made of Graham Norton.

Still game

Big Bang Theory repeat. I don't really like elements of this episode. Is basically three blokes endlessly harrassing a woman on a train who's trying to mind her own business. Blech.

Though it does have the Moonpie business.

Yes, the other bits are excellent! S'why I'm still watching.

It was on a programme called Talking Movies on BBC2 on Saturday, it included most of the interview, they had Orson Welles a couple of weeks ago

Plus you can always rely on Sheldon not to treat women like talking sex dolls.

You must really hate On The Buses!

I um, got the first season of Friends on "DVD" because years of saturation of it through E4 weren't enough and I don't have Comedy Central. Aaaaaanyway, as most of you can probably relate, I know the scripts pretty much off by heart but (quite) interestingly, I've seen quite a few jokes that I haven't seen before, ones that may have been censored by Channel 4. So, that's a nice little treat.

And I have also come to the conclusion that Friends is by far, far, far the best show/sitcom/piece of writing ever. I love Friends.

It's in my top ten sitcoms, for sure. Since it first started, this will be the longest sustained period in which I have not seen an episode. I think I'm going to try and give it a year or two more, then buy them all. I suppose Big Bang is the new always-on-sitcom on E4, and whilst I enjoy it, it's no Friends.

I probably say 'Well aren't you a treat' every other week.

It is a great show, although it's slightly disconcerting how young everyone is in those early seasons. I mean they're all forty plus now. :(
