If we ever work out what space actually is who knows how we could manipulate it to travel?
Have you ever spotted a UFO? Page 4
I reckon it's easier to send data, maybe like invasion of the body snatchers, fire our DNA over in a light beam, and code our selves into their eco system.
Is this whole thread on acid?
I wish, I think like this all the time.
If I was on acid I might at least get the occasional moment of clarity

*shakes head*
Such a narrow mind!
Cos I don't expand in with Lucy Diamonds man
Did any one read Will Eisners most excelent A Signal from Space.
Aliens contact us, and in the end we send a potted plant, encoded with the DNA of a vounteer to make contact.

We're luminaries. Thinking far ahead of our time.

I'm embarrassed to say I have not read much as much Eisner except "A Contract with God" (which I loved).

That's a pretty top quality spot to start from.
Try his early Spirit strips, and Signal from Space is great.
n.b. his later stuff on antisentisim, Fagin the Jew and The Plot also rock,
God bless him where ever he is now.
I'm a keen reader of books on UFOs, and am reading one at the moment. It speculates that many more people than previously imagined have been abducted by aliens. If you have ever seen a UFO, the theory is that you have been, and are being, taken by aliens. And if they take you, they also take your children. Apparently this is all to further their breeding programme, where they are creating a hybrid race of human/aliens.
However, as with so many things, I think you should keep an open mind.
Charley, is that true, did that really happen?
Apparently they've just discovered a galaxy similar to ours 5,000 light years away.
I'm undecided on the whole alien idea. Surely there must be something out there, because it'd be a coincidence if out of all the galaxies in the universe that only one planet would be able to support intelligent (though I'm beginning to doubt that now) life.
But I also think that all these theories about extraterrestrials, and possibly cryptids, are being kept top secret by the governments and being hidden in air bases such as Area 51. They make a good stories and films, but people really need to think about it logically. If these aliens can travel, as people think, at the speed of light and are so advanced, why do they spend all their time visiting this poor excuse for a planet, stealing, butchering, and sucking the blood from, cattle and other farmyard animals?
And I agree about the assumption made by you lot that air and water are needed to support all life is rubbish. What fool came up with that idea, when even some animals on Earth can survive without air?

They're thinking of putting a Mcdonalds in it.
And Kat welcome to the board, if you'd like you could introduce yourself in the introduction forum.
