I've been watching this today and it's left me asking why we don't have anything like this on now? It's hilarious, daft, witty, farcical and just plain fun.

C'mon BBC!

They tried to do this with The Royal Bodyguard, only with higher budget.

Probably because they'd be accused of cliches and stereotyping.

I'm not criticising it because I used to love it.

Probably still would be on now if Patricia Routledge hadn't said she didn't want to do anymore.

I've been watching quite a bit of this recently...

I do think that without hyperbole KUA does have the perfect Sitcom set-up. There are probably some others that are as good but none better.

To have a character obsessed by image surrounded by a gay son, cross-dressing brother-in-law, slobbish brother-in-law, whorish sister and perverted father is a great premise.

I can understand when people say that it is too similar every week but if watched in small doses it stands up very well.

That seems to be Roy Clarke's trademark. Take "Open All Hours" (which I like!) and "Last Of the.." the episodes are all a bit samey.

By the way, I was watching a "Dad's Army" episode yesterday and the guy that played Onslow had a little role in it.

KUA is my favourite BritCom. There are three episodes broadcast on our local Public Television Stations.

Now showing on "Yesterday" , weekdays at 6pm!

Why repeat on Yesterday when it is shown on Gold.

Why repeat on Yesterday when it is shown on Gold.

Because it is not currently being shown on Gold.

It is at the weekends.

Maybe UKTV love it that much they thought they would put it on both of the channels Cool

Yes I do own them all on DVD but usually find myself watching them on Gold. Why didn't they make more series then?

Patricia Routledge wanted to move on.So it was called a day.
