How about 'Leave It to Mrs. O'Brien'?

I bet that would largely draw blanks.

So that's at least two sitcoms starring Cannon and Ball then. Wonder how many more they did?

Two? What's the other then? (I'm not counting Mr H Is Late as a sitcom.)

Cannon and Ball did sitcoms?
Are they still around? Aren't they due to be arrested soon as nearly every other entertainer from my childhood has been...

Cannon and Ball's Playhouse, which is where Plaza Patrol came from, according to Google. Only a partly aired sitcom of one offs.

Fascinating. Never heard of that one before, and can find no mention of it in usual research sources - just one solitary record in an ITV archive.

Not sure how many episodes were made, but it would seem that just two were aired - and a fortnight after Plaza Patrol finished, so it certainly didn't come from Playhouse[/i].

I'll have to do some more digging.

What about this one: Father Charlie.

I've not heard of Cannon and Ball's 'Playhouse'. 'Casino' ran in 1990 which might be what Google is confusing it with. I saw them last year with Stu Francis as support. If Stu isn't arrested on several charges soon I will be very surprised.

No, weirdly, this is a real, but apparently little known, show. It really does exist.

I have a vague memory of an ITV sitcom which I think was called 'You, Me and Him'. I think it was a precurser to Men Behaveing Badly but with 3 guys sharing a flat. May have starred Punt & Dennis and Nick Hancock. Or perhaps I've imagined the whole thing.

Well remembered, Doug.

Me, You And Him was a Thames sitcom broadcast between July and September 1992. Starring and written by Hancock, Punt and Dennis, it also featured Harriet Thorpe and Ron Donachie.

Evening Mr Barnaby

Not even Google knows that one. Are you sure you've got the title right?
