Ah not the ending, but the preview at the end, I see
Doctor Who... Page 974
Anyone else notice in the trailer for next week a Cyberman running? RUNNING.
Pfft
I saw one of them at the last London marathon
Quote: Steve Sunshine @ May 4 2013, 9:43 PM BSTI though the photo bit at the end was quite good.
Really? I thought it was an incredibly flimsy and improbable way of getting the kids on board the Tardis.
I thought it was okay until the doctor turned up. Then they had the terrible flashback and it all got a bit meh. Also Strax looks too much like a turd to take seriously.
I just liked the bit when she saw the photo that she didn't remember.
I ignored the kids.

Yeah, liked that.
I actually miss the stronger arc stuff Moffat had in his first two years. And having it split in two, with a Pond half and a Clara half, has made this year feel disparate and lesser. Better if we'd said goodbye to the Ponds last series and had a whole Clara mystery run.

I agree with all this.
Judging by the hints Moffat has been dropping, sounds like there may even be a resolution to the Clara "mystery" in this series, which seems a bit soon given that it's been given hardly any room to breath yet.
Speaking of the mystery... was it ever explained why the Doctor didn't just try to find the woman who gave JLC the phone number to the Tardis? Seems like the most obvious place to start looking for answers.
I thought last night was great; the Victorian gang Whobies are great, decent mystery, good plot, turned down Dr, proper menacing villain (child abuse!) more like this and last weeks and it could be back on form.
Matt Smiths northern accent and genuine horror as well as some light humour. Not to mention a Silurian telling off a Sontarran for eating sweets (and the satnav, horse car joke). This is Dr Who hitting the kind of wonderful madness that makes it work.

Now that would be awful.
And inadvisable with the number of nonces working at the BBC.
The doctor trying to find out who clara is has been the driving force for most of the reasons he goes to whatever location to begin with in episodes this series, This whole point to me seems weak. The doctor has basically been made less intelligent in order to allow the arc concept of who is clara, to keep running right up to the end of the series. Though of course if the doctor is having memory problems then perhaps this explains it but it still feels like lazy and poor writing to me.
The sonic screwdriver should get its own spin off, rare it is now a days for it to not be used as a way to get him out of trouble. I remember when it was just a sonic screwdriver.
As the last episode proved, chairs are better than sonic screwdrivers.
They should make that a permanent change, the Doctor defeating his enemies by running into the room and smashing a chair over their head.

Quote: Pingl @ May 4 2013, 7:32 PM BSTDiana Rigg was brilliant though.
She is also been busy getting all the best lines in Game of Thrones.
I liked the bit where the Victorian maid turned out to be dressed as Emma Peel underneath. An extra little tribute to Diana Rigg.
The Doctor liked that too, judging from the reaction of his Sonic Screwdriver...
