Great show, especially Daniel Hill as Harvey, and of course Stephanie Cole's Diana Trent. This show started same year as One Foot In The Grave, another show with a cantankerous pensioner as the lead character. I do however think WFG had more interesting things to say about being old.
Waiting For God
Aaron woz ere!
We get one episode each weekday night here. I have been busy with one of my sites so oft forget to record them.
I love the characters and there is more on this sitcom in my waiting for God link in my siggy.
So well written and such great characters.
Who wrote it and did he/she write anything else this good?
Michael Aitkens. Don't recall any others.

If only there was a website that provided detailed information about the writers and cast of comedy series, and was linked to easily from this page in big yellow boxes...

This is one of the most boring sitcoms ever produced in the world of British comedy.

That was more useful than Aaron's post.
Interesting to see he wrote the script for a televisation of one of Leslie Thomas's Dangerous Davies episodes.
The plots are fairly timeless and Stephanie Cole is brilliant. Lovely stuff.

I agree. I love the show. In my late forties, I saw it as entertainment. Now that I'm approaching 70, I see it as educational!
