This. There is a reason I never signed up to Outlook in the first place. Just after they switched from Hotmail it took me and another person, both of us under 30 (not that age really means anything) about 5 minutes to figure out how to foward an email. It shouldn't be that hard.

Hah, you should be so lucky for it just to be bad... When they switched me they lost every one of my existing emails.
Luckily I don't really use the account, except for when I don't want to reveal a real email address.

Probably because Hotmail was a one off type service, so needed a team of people to support it, whereas the On-Line Outlook is a feature of all of Microsoft Exchange Servers, which they have to support for their customers, so it is probably more economic to provide the Hotmail service with standard software.
