Good morning, Gordon I hope you are well :)

Just to stay on topic - I do not have broadband.

There is no need to stay on topic in the general discussion section. You can go wherever you wish.

Does this mean you still have dial up?

Oh, I see.

Well, usually I come on here on my phone. I have a dongle, thingumy, for the laptop but don't often use it. Though, writing this, I don't know if either of those count as broadband. I know nowt about computers.

Yes I think the dongle, thingumy is indeed broadband.

Thanks. You've educated me. They say you learn something new everyday and I've got mine in just after 9 in the morning. I'm now free to take no notice of people for the rest of the day :)

I have a dongle, thingumy, on 3 ( Three? ) it's a bit rubbish. Apparently you have to wait til it decides when you can look at the Internet... And when it does don't move the laptop, even an inch, it angers it and it'll disconnect.

One who don't warn you when going over your allowance until I get the bill, despite saying they would. Really helpful. Would consider switching except that they offer the cheapest plans with the most signal reliability.

This is a horrendously boring thread!

Deary me, please can we put this kind of thing in General General! It doesn't need a whole thread to discuss broadband providers.

The topic wouldn't be any less depressing in the general general thread. And you got to let David Smith express himself. Mind you, I don't know what's so arousing in starting threads.

But you're right...it's incredibly boring.

Expression = good. Death by boring threads = bad. :D

Thread starting fetish...well it takes all sorts David Wave

I hate starting threads. I think I've only ever started about 2, and I've been here 6 fecking years. :)

I started some...but people used to ignore them. That put me off again. My threads are not as charismatic as David's.

I get my broadband by a complicated semaphore arrangement. Streaming videos is murder.

:)

The trick is to make them just so utterly inane, people reply to them just to comment on the inanity. That's the secret to a successful thread starter.
