Hello, do you know where I can get the boxset of this? As I have loved the movie.

There is no box set available, unfortunately. (And somewhat oddly, for a Network release.) You'll have to buy the four series separately:

Series 1: http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B002KAIVZE/comedyguide-21/
Series 2: http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B004Y46D54/comedyguide-21/
Series 3: http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B0058NSDDU/comedyguide-21/
Series 4: http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B005VBQIIQ/comedyguide-21/

They're all very reasonably priced at the moment, so I'd suggest getting on and buying them ASAP.

Hello Aaron. I don't like using Amazon that much, but I like to use eBay better. Thank you for letting me know.

Make no apologies for reviving an old thread yet again......................

This is the box set in my rotation at the moment and what a delightful gentle comedy it is with my wife's favourite, the wonderful Irene Handl, and I'm a big fan of Wilfred Pickles too. :)

Talking Pictures showed the whole series recently and now show episodes on a Sunday evening. Really enjoyed it.

Picked the odd episode up on Talking Pictures recently. Definitely one I could get into in. A similar vein to On The Buses which I think got mentioned further up this post.
I think I'll invest in the seperate series from Amazon as the price looks really good.

Just finished disc 3 of Kenny Everett in my box set rotation, so will be going back to this one again. Love it, and yes the box sets can be very cheap these days, especially if they have been out for awhile.

Just ordered this on Amazon. I am looking forward to watching it, as I like the warm gentle sitcoms of that era. I am usually fan of Vince Powell and Harry Driver's sitcoms, like Bless This House, Love Thy Neighbour, George and The Dragon and Slinger's Day was all brilliant. Although Nearest and Dearest was average, I am very much looking forward to watching this.

I rotate my box sets, and am half way through this one - it really is lovely and funny. Always been a fan of Wilfred Pickles and certainly of Irene Handl. Whenever you see her on screen she makes you smile. My wife and I have a favourite catchphrase of hers from the famous chimp tea adverts..............

"Coo-ee, coo-ee Mr Shifter, light refreshments"

It's a lot more gentle than most of those!

Finished Series 1. A nice start, it's nice and cosy and pleasant to watch. Really easy going and James Hayter guest starred in one episode which was nice. Looking forward to series 2

Just finished it. Enjoyed it and found it great and warm and gentle. Great plot, great characters a nice sitcom

Now, how about the film?

Wasn't in the dvd set was it? Not paying 50 pound for a DVD on amazon for it.
