I'm all in favour of the lo-fi, making-videos-out-of-anything-that-comes-to-hand approach; but maybe an out of focus finger with a face drawn on it is pushing things a bit far; and I think you need a bit more structure in the writing.
You do get a sense of character coming out of this. The points at which it starts to threaten to actually be funny are the ones where he undercuts himself - talking about being brought up in the toughest part of the East End, then revealing that actually he was brought up in a Southend bedsit; talking about us walking in his shoes, then "well, walking in my trainers"; and likewise how we'll taste the blood in his mouth, then "well, maybe not in my mouth, the blood on my fists". More of that kind of thing needed.
