Finally got round to seeing Notes On A Scandal. Never been much of a Denchite but she's great in that, oozing sour spite. A fantastic monster.
I've just seen... Page 354
I watched Jiro Dreams of Sushi t'other night and it's a beautifully shot documentary about the only sushi restaurant to achieve three Michelin stars. It doesn't sound that riveting, but it kept my gaze transfixed for the whole 90 minutes.

Top film.
I might go see The Look of Love later. Much, much later. A late showing, if you will.
If I will?
Well it's a bit short notice
But ok
But your buying me some nachos
And I'm not sitting on the back row - not after the last time

I'll say it again, lofthouse, that was a hotdog.
Just watched The Untouchables for the first time. It was enjoyable enough, but didn't feel as though it had the depth or grit of other mob films such as The Godfather or even Donnie Brasco. I suppose, in a way, it's very much a Kevin Costner film what with it's lightweight plot and crowd pleasing finale.
It's more of an 1980s actioner best known for some superlative individual scenes and speeches.
Perhaps most famously the satirical re staging of the baby carriage scene from Battleship Potemkin.
'The Village' . Wouldn't it make you weep? First World War was truly awful .
I've not seen the programme, but I'd agree wit the second point certainly. The British army suffered 58000 casualties (dead and wounded) on the first day of the Battle of the Somme alone. The first sodding day!
This morning Simon Pegg and JJ Abrams (and some blonde sort) were guests in a German TV show.
By the way, the trailers of the new Star Trek movie do look great.
Shame. Filthy but surprisingly excellent drama about a sex addict and his self-harming sister. Michael Fassbender is rapidly becoming my favourite current actor.
Solitary Man. Pretty good drama about a sixty year old man who still chases after twenty year old women. Michael Douglas can still play a great slimeball twenty years after his heyday.
Solaris, the original from 1972.
