I appreciate that some are a bit dear but the used ones are a lot cheaper and, in my experience, generally ok.

Whenever they have a singer guest on the Two Ronnies I always forget and sit there waiting and waiting for something funny to happen.

It seems so bizarre now that they had totally straight musical performances on in between all the sketches.

In the first couple of two ronnies series they had 'straight' magicians n stuff too

It was a different age

Tv was full of 'variety' shows

You had some comedy

And then you had some music

Then maybe a vent

Anyway I do a brilliant impression of Ronnie Corbett saying "And now ladies and gentlemen - Miss Barbara Dickson..."

*fiddles with glasses*

The Ronnie Corbett would tell me which of the whores hitchhiking by the side of the road I needed to sacrifice to the DarK Lord Cthulu. Back then I drove a HGV

Golden days

Pop/Rock concerts used to be like that in the 60s.

I remember seeing The Shadows and The Beatles with 'novelty' acts on the bill.

I seem to run out of "true classics". I already have Steptoe, Hancock, Porridge and lots of other obvious choices. It gets harder and harder...

In Sickness and in Health is not bad

Did you actually see the Beatles in concert?

Yes, three times.

This was my first

Wow OR, that's something, where did you see them play?

That show was at The Odeon Birmingham 10th March 1963.

The show had an interval and the second top billing (Tommy Roe) was to close the first half and top (Chris Montez) the second half. The Beatles were due on directly before Tommy Roe but they were switched around as Please Please Me had reached number 1 a couple of weeks before.

Amazing.
