2 bonus points for Benteke. F**k me are you sure? Sure you don't want to keep them for Van Persie, tonight?

Shit week though. Spent four points bringing in Azpilicueta and he gets an own goal. Defender I benched got an assist. Don't see why they award minus points for OGs and missed penalties - not when the other team is getting points for the goal.

Giving minus points for a penalty really makes no sense. It's given for a foul so unless you convert it you're being giving minus points for being fouled by the other team. Utterly ridiculous.

So no bonus points for Van Persie, despite him playing and having nicely blow-dried hair. Amazing.

Having now seen the QPR-Wigan game I can say 3bp for Maloney and 0bp makes a mockery of the bonus system. Remy's goal was one of the best scored this season. Watch it closely and see he hits it with the side of his boot. Amazing pace and curl and done at speed after running the length of the pitch.

In the words of Bricktop: 'if that isn't worth 3bps I don't know what is. Now f**k off.'

I hadn't paid a point in transfers up to this week.
I forfeited 16 points on Friday morning in a moment of madness.
But as the Don Rushmeister once said, it's time to be brave, so I took his advice.
Godot also said that there were no good Man U players, so I ignored his advice.
16 points though - that hurt.
I don't want to let fake Fozzie in through the back door.

Lol. You and Don are a bookie's dream. A keeper and two defenders from the same team is very dumb.

That's been reflected in Don's returns to date, in three weeks up to GW 33 they gave him 15pts at a cost of 19.4m. A standard 2pt return would have given 18pts and a mix of stoppers, let's say, Chech, Vertongen and Enriqué would have returned 41pts for a smaller outlay of 18.7m.

why did Rafael not play?! That would have been a shoo in for some good points. De Gea must have been pretty useful for a few points recently. My midfield dilemma was filled by Cazorla who did very little. Hopefully he will against QPR.

3 bonus points for Arteta's penalty? Are you out of your f**king minds?

Rafa wasn't even on the bench. He's theoretically a great buy but has seen little game time since I bought him. He's given me 1pt. I intended to sell him after gw33, but now I'll do it with extreme prejudice.

A lot of people have captained Cazorla this week but I don't expect much. The educated choice was Suarez who should have had at least three against Reading. Too bad Alex McCarthy came back off injury with insane form.

And that bravery, which I applaud, scored you a whopping 50pts - more than double the average. (You've actually slipped down the league, but we'll gloss over that.)

Captaining Cazorla, playing twice, over Suarez, playing once, was a no-brainer. If not Cazorla, then someone else with 2 matches, Fellaini perhaps.

Did you forget it was a double gameweek?

I did combine bravery with stupidity by having 2 Swansea players in my team, I think they were the only team not playing.

But I swapped Suarez for Baines as captain, which was probably wise so it's not all bad

You obviously didn't see the Liverpool game. Liverpool had 15 shots on target and Suarez should have got at least three goals and could have scored five.

The only reason he didn't is because Alex McCarthy played out of his skin. Atkins said it was the best performance he'd ever seen by a goal keeper, anywhere. Certainly if Federici had been playing the results would have been a lot different so not a no-brainer, no.

Cazorla has only scored more than one goal in a match twice all season and one of those was against the team Suarez was playing - Reading. He has also only scored once in successive matches compared to Suarez's five times. It's no accident that Suarez was the most vice-captained this week and it's only bad luck that I'm not sitting on 40pts from him.

You've had a bit of good luck with points two weeks running from arteta - no-one's choice for midfield and six f**king bonus points for him and Gerrard.

Alex McCarthy rather hilariously got 1 bonus point although he was man of the match and delivered one of the stand-out performances of the season.

I could still do okay when the points come in from the Chelsea and Wigan games and even if I don't, I don't have any points to come off, unlike you and Steve and next week I don't have to buy back Bale.

I didn't really think my captaincy pick through this week. Cazorla had two fixtures at home, but points-machine Van Persie was playing against Stoke and West Ham. A bit of a rick on reflection.

I'm no fan of the woulda, coulda, shoulda stuff. He didn't score. End of. I'd be 200pts better off this season, if not for great goalkeeping. We both screwed up captain-wise this week (looks like Gerry did too).

It's good management, more than good luck. Finding a gem that nobody has chosen is the lifeblood of the game. You won't move up the table by picking the same players as everyone else.

8pts deducted in a double gameweek is no big deal. :)

Fixed that for you.

I didn't think you saw the Liverpool game. We're not talking about the same thing. I doubt if Federici would have saved more than two of those fifteen Liverpool shots on target. (There were 26 shots on goal incidentally).

Van Persie was the most captained player this week with Suarez the most vice-captained. Draught or not VP was probably the best choice if you had him or Suarez if you didn't. I don't know where this Cazorla thing comes from but those people were dreaming if they were expecting 40 pts.

My lucky picks are also good management. 'Gem' isn't a word I would use for Arteta. He's scored one goal this season away from the penalty spot and has just two assists.

He's so good that he's one of few midfielders who costs less to buy now than in August, including Mata, Fellaini, Michu and Steven Gerrard, the other designated penalty taker you have.

Damn
There goes my second Man U clean sheet.

And John Terry scored.
I doubt many people have him in their team this season.
Me neither

'Gem' isn't a word I would use for Arteta. He's scored one goal this season away from the penalty spot and has just two assists.

That was a shrewd, informed decision. I looked at his fixture list and saw Reading, West Brom and Norwich, 3 ropey teams, so I signed him. He rewarded me by scoring 10, 1, 10.

How do you pick your players?
