One series too far

I recenlty finished Teachers but wish I had stopped after series 3 and given 4 a miss.
I also read that the latest Not Going Out is a bit disappointing.
Any sitcoms out there that you think were commissioned the one series too many (not just ones you don't think should have got the go ahead at all?

Maybe One Foot In The Grave. The last series has a slightly different (glossier?) feel compared to the other series. I think it wasn't really necessary...although it wasn't horrible.

I'm sure there is already a thread about this somewhere

But my choices

1. Big Top
2. The Royal Bodyguard
3. The Gemma Factor
4. Brighton Belles
5. Gavin and Stacey

One Foot In The Grave is a good call, as is Teachers. Brittas Empire actually went on two series too long, Last of the Summer Wine about 30. OFAH should have ended with them getting rich.

On The Buses
Are You Being Served?
Lead Balloon

Yes For On The Buses
No for Are You Being Served?
Not sure for Lead Balloon.

Ab Fab.

Brittas Empire became unbelievable when Brittas rose from the dead.

Brittas Empire was a disappointment at the end though.

Yes it was.

It was a shame though.

Come on, when was it ever believable? But I know what you mean...he should have gone for good.

Yep but I thought some bits were funny though.

Dexter, trying to watch current series but it's a horrid mess with characters acting like cyphers not beloved characters.

NOT GOING OUT!! This new one has been terrible. Without Tim Vine it doesn't work but has also been cheap looking, real shame as it was great in its own silly way.

And Shameless should have stopped after the first run. :)

If we are doing the dramas then the current series of Foyle's War qualifies.

I also see that they are going to continue Death in Paradise with Kris Marshall replacing Ben Miller. You just know that that is not going to turn out well.
