In what way do I resemble a seven-year-old girl?

You're both on registers?

Your reviews of Doctor Who episodes are a both a little too long to maintain the cute factor ;)

F**k off, you live for my reviews. I've been telling half of you what to think for years.

Tis a shame none of us listen.

Or else we'd all be watching the Gobots of Jeff!

Sooty your attention span is so short you can only manage the opening credits of most shows.

If there's no teaser you're f**ked.

As the vicar said to the prostitute with lock jaw

"I'm sorry darling but the teasers the best bit."

nb whilst doing some bits of writing I followed the whole 3 part Best of Both Worlds Borg saga on the telly box (yes 3 parts I include the epilogue when Picard gets pissed with his brother and Worf gets embarassed by his dad). 3 hours of telly and my attention didn't waver and I missed it when it was gone. Good acting, strong characters and a stonking script with genuine peril and excitement.

Neither Nude Lizards on a sub nor The Robots of Bored to Death got close to this.

Because Godot and here is the mind numbingly simple answer.

"They were both badly written."

As you are want to tell us you are a designer. Well you're no writer.

I won't rubbish something I haven't seen but I find Star Trek generally abysmal.

I only praised the production design of Cold War, the rest was weak in my opinion.

You only watched two episodes of The Robots of Death and for some reason you really don't like it. Okay. But it's not badly written - that's a preposterous claim.

Well you're no writer.

That's not what your mum says.

Well she wouldn't having never met you?

And frankly name any worthwhile drama that got away with a lousy two parter.
It pains me to think of you sitting at your keyboard crying with frustration that you can't type.
"Sooty was right."

Then again, when the Moff took over I turned 30, so maybe it's just an age thing and I'm now just a boring old fart. Errr

It's not an age thing. There's always time for good TV at any age, but Matt Smith Who isn't good, simply because emotional mush and ethereal music are overdone at the expense of cracking story telling. I will eventually get the complete Smith Who with Chinese subtitles and try to watch it all. Sad thing is, the Doctor seems to have become such a pompous twat, with his (or his companion's) emotions being more important than a good plot. Pomposity is fine, if there's adequate gravitas, but poor Smith seems to be under instructions to behave like a bell-end (in the four or so episodes I've watched).</tediously repetitive Who whine>

David Warner out doctored the Doctor! Fact. The commander was bloody good too.

I think Minder's only two-parter was when they went to Australia, long after Dennis Waterman had bailed.

You said it, Guv.

I didn't like that laugh he did at the end. Seemed a bit false. It reminded me of the way everybody "laughs" at the end of Naked Gun episodes. And Soot's is right, Best Of Both Worlds is awesome telly.
