No more than has been done already, I hope. But the point is that there are plenty of options. A small group of characters who inhabit a confined world. It's a classic sitcom premise with oodles of possibilities.

I don't think so.It says it was just a one off. But I could be wrong however.

Well this was commissioned as a series of four, then it turned into just one. So no further episodes soon. I would hazard a guess that ITV thought it too dull to string across four programmes and decided to get it out of the way, but God knows what they might decide for future.

Yeah,the last Royle Family special was dire!

I doubt it. They will probably just keeping making awful hour long specials.
There getting older now so they will end up losing a lot of sense of humour!
