Does anyone remember a really weird fashion craze amongst kids, back in '87/'88, for jeans that had pictures of the Flinstones characters on them?

Didn't happen here, at least I don't remember it.

I do remember turn-ups though, and flat-top hair cuts, around the same time. And Grolsch bottle tops tied to people's shoes a la bros. Oh dear!

Still today, otherwise quite cool looking kids in London wear jeans or jackets with bugs bunny and stuff on them. I definitely don't understand that one.

more or less everyone at my school has whinnie the pooh bags...

ah at ours its tiny nike bags

I'm going to order bright yellow and blue shoes. Does that make me a fashion rebel?

I want to see a picture.

I have a friend with shoes like that-we ask him why he likes Ryan Stiles shoes so much, and he gets all embarrased

I don't know who this is, nor why his shoes are so special, but ok!

Maybe you could help me choose. I've narrowed it down to two pairs...

YES!
Fashion advice!

(You don't know Ryan Stiles?)

I vaguely recognise the name. *Googles*

Oh right... He must be the one people were talking about a while back. That is was a shame he's never played here because he's afraid of flying, apparently. Might have seen him as a guest star in something many many years ago (judging by his Wikipedia credits), but no, I don't "know" him really in any sense of the word.

well point is, he has big feet and wears horrible shoes

Aha, I see. :)

Feel enlightened :D

Bit like Seinfeld.

As in Jerry?
