Jokes needed for Novel about a Stand-up

The Novel is finished, has a publisher, but the final climactic routine in the novel, where the
lead character ( a new comedienne) 'kills', really needs to be great, and while the routine is almost there,
almost won't cut it. Will pay.
Thanks
Anthony

Are you THE Anthony McCarten? The New Zealand-born author whom I've just looked up on Google?

Hi

A friend of mine runs one of the independent stand up comedy chains in London so he knows all the professional London circuit stand ups. If you want a great stand up routine that sounds authentic, best to ask a stand up who has had some professional experience.

Unfortunately any stand up might not necessarily be keen to give you his best material but a prolific writer of stand up might give you some of his off cuts that might still be very good or if the money is good spend time developing new material.

Anyway if you are interested in getting in contact with my friend just email me with the exact details of what you need (i.e length of routine in pages, the type of comedy -traditional or modern- narrative or one liners) and the sort of money involved. Obviously he is not going to approach working comedians if the pay is not at a professional level.

If I think it's something he can help you with I will email him with the details with your contact details and hopefully he will get in contact with you.

Good luck

Hi Anthony, I'm a professional stand up and comedy writer, feel free to send me an email, tonycowards at hotmail dot com or contact me via twitter www.twitter.com/TonyCowards

Hi Anthony, hope you are well today.

I am from Dublin, Ireland and write books of my own uniquely witty humour. My work has received some very good reviews from American professionals and I'm sure it would work well with British audiences too with me being from just across the Irish Sea. The material includes funny stories, jokes poking fun at people's surnames, jokes in general, stream of conscious and double entendres and is probably more suited to stand-up than being read from a book (i'd try stand-up myself but I have a disability). If you would like to give me an address, I'd happily pop a couple of my books off in the post to you if you are looking for inspiration or maybe a few ideas...so long as you promise not to plagiarise and give me some feedback! If you felt the material was of a suitable standard, maybe we could come to an amicable arrangement where I could sell you some jokes!

Best of luck with your career m8!

So whats the exact brief?

Have you cracked it yet? I'd be happy to have a go at this as an exercise for myself but would probably need to see the novel if poss. I'm thinking it would be good to have the character turn something bad around from their past?

Hi I am an American standup comedian. I would be glad to help you with your project. Please see my website at www.wolfiescomedy.com
