British Comedy Guide

Cryptic Corner

This should be easy for those who know their classics

Maurice....................?

I was the rather animated front for the Jets & Cinders dream venue

Like Mr Eddy I had a distinctive twang & a dog that when complete sounds like a military movement.

Leroy? - ball? - Duane - pincer or pinscher?

Very cryptic!! Not a clue what you mean mate.

You're actually in the right track Stephen the man in question played two separate characters with the same traits but in different formats.

In both cases his boss had a real flair for getting in and out of scrapes.

I know its not easy but I had to beat the menace of Google after all I don't want anyone looking smarter than they really are.

Anyone with a decent knowledge of classic comedy should get it, in the end

Daws Butler...

Oh I hate this things so very much

only because they go right over my stupid head

This is do-able just not Googleable so anyone with a working knowledge of comedy should spot the character as we are not talking totally obscure here!

Mr Ed...

GOSFIELD...

Correct and what an avatar!

Correct and what an avatar!
