There's nothing like knowing your place. If you want to finish two places behind Gerry next year, I guess that's up to you.

I hope you make it.

Looks like Bale's out for a few games at least. Who to replace him with? Mata?

I now regret doing my transfers early.

I've got Mata. He's a class act in every respect but like Demba Ba is such a rotation risk under that fat Spanish tosser Benitez that it's hard to recommend him. He didn't even make the journey last weekend.

Benitez also likes to bring him on in the last ten minutes even though he isn't an impact player so you run the risk of only getting 1pt, even when he plays.

Also his form has dipped a bit over the last few weeks but that's nothing unusual, it's the end of the season - Van Persie anyone?

You should ask Gerry who to replace Bale with since he's leading the table. I would guess he would say Walcott or Cazorla or Fellaini if you can wait a week. Your midfield is pretty soft - you still have Sterling and he hardly plays anymore so you should do something.

I wouldn't worry, most people won't sell Bale. Unless you want to get rid of Morrison or Puncheon - I would.

I thought I'd sold Sterling.
I've already got Walcott. I was going to sell him but I'll hold fire for now.

Oh you were probably talking to Ben
As you were

I stuck Mata in. might have been a rash move, but I'll have to live with it. Walcott would probably have been a better option.

I can't see any point in swapping Sterling out now - his value has dropped so low that I wouldn't be able to replace him with anyone better.

I've needed to restructure the midfield for a few weeks, but due to injuries to my defence I've been using my transfers up for them.

Well since Sterling's only played 68 minutes since the 19th January you certainly could replace him with a better player - any one who plays every week.

Sterling's currently 4.8m and you can get Schneiderlin (Southampton) for 4.8m. He's got 3 goals, an assist and 7 bonus points for the period Sterling gave you 2pts.

Two good low priced punts are Jermaine Jenas (QPR) and Robson-Kanu (Reading) both 4.2m, likely to play every game and both having scored a couple.

Well when I get the chance I'll look into swapping him out for one of them. Maybe next week, assuming my 11 don't suffer any injuries this week...

I transferred Bale out two minutes after seeing the challenge, I'll be astonished if he only misses two games.

If I didn't have Cazorla, Walcott or Fellaini, I'd look at bringing one of those in for his replacement. (Arsenal, Man Utd and Everton are the pick of the double gameweek teams next week)

I've got all 3 so brought in Hazard for him. It was a toss up between him and Mata, but Mata started last night and Hazard was benched, and with fat Rata's rotation policy it was (hopefully) the safer choice.

Double game week next week? Arsenal have got two home fixtures, so I might bring in Walcott for Mata that week.

I claim my prize.

You know Fellaini's suspended, right? And Walcott's injured?

You know that Fellaini's suspension ends before the double gameweek, right? And Arsenal have said that Walcott's been running and has an outside chance of playing against West Brom, suggesting he'll be fit for the DGW?

You know I don't know what I'm talking about, right?

:D
