I first knew Stewart from his 80s-90s period plus "Sailing". I only realised in the late 90s that he was one of the dirtiest, sleaziest and most exciting rockers of the late 60s until mid 70s. If there hadn't been a Mick Jagger Rod would be the frontman of the Stones. Shame what became of him. And the less said about his "Songbooks" the better.
