Couldn't agree more.

Bloody 'Candle in the Wind'! Every time I'm in the car, it blasts out, infiltrates my brain so that it plays there all the time.

My problem with that song is that initially it was a tribute to Marylin Monroe. But after Di's death Elton John changed the lyrics so it made new sense a new millions of pounds for Sir Elton. Why couldn't he just write a complete new song.
Normally I'm an admirer of EJ...but this was nasty!

Bloody candle in the wind, nonsense that was compounded by a trite tribute rewrite. 'Whispered in your brain'! Why would you cling to someone in the rain! Marylin was found in the nude! Please. A walk through the ocean of this songs soul would hardly get your feet wet.

And the bastard thing is still dominating my brain.

U2.

And I rember going to a party a few years ago. They were playing Phil Collins, UB40 and Lionel Ritchie. F**k me - and everyone was younger than me. Have they got NO taste?
