Having to constantly fight off drugged-up nutters with a mole-wrench is a bit too much like real life for me, but there's no denying the beautiful production design and elegant gameplay of the series.
The whole 'Mr Bubbles', 'Little Sister' thing is quite brilliant.
Horror games freak me out.

Both Bioshock games gave me major motion-sickness, something I've never experienced with any other FPS.
They're much scarier than any horror film I've seen. They really do freak me out, especially the zombie ones.
I don't like Zombie games one bit. Bussell's your man for that. He loves a zombie.
I don't like any games where things come after you - it's too stressful. I like to mooch about in the environment.

I like immersive games, and with the lights turned down low and the sound up high, Bioshock is providing that perfect environment.
I don't normally like FPS though, but some just jump out at you.
