Spoilers included

A thread for discussing films, TV shows etc after a sufficently long period that everyone's seen them. And basically being able to chat about them with out annoying spoiler phobes who always see films late and moan about them.

1 Skyfall.

Some great perfomances but also some ridiculous plot holes. I mean a super villain who can take control of the whole internet. And his master plan was walking into a meeting filled with armed guards and just randomly blasting?

Almost as bad as the villain in Quantum of Solace's plan to get a really big puddle for some reason.

And frankly the villain's assault by walking slowly across an open field was just idiotic. Also come on give Bond back his gadgets!

How will we know what Films have been spoilered without clicking on the thread & putting ourselves at risk of spoilerisation?

Leave a big gap between the film title and the spoileryness?

(Pretty much like sooty did.)

Yeah I've actually not seen Skyfall yet

The fact I have no intentions of watching it now or in the future is totally irrelevant

Oh, loved that whole end section at the house. Looked great. Like he was wandering around Hell. The film as a whole was only okay for me though. Felt too long.

Really the ending felt like Home Alone does Diehard

I loved Skyfall. My favourite Bond film in ages!

I didn't think Skyfall was that great, I seem to be in a minority though. I really miss the humour, the gadgets, the general silliness of the Roger Moore era. Especially given the way the world is at present I would prefer the old tongue in cheek Bond as opposed to the post Bourne one.

I was also not expecting them to actually kill who they killed at the end. You think certain people are safe in these sort of things, so that was a nice surprise.

Yeh they killed her off very effectively and nicely underplayed lead in.

So you kinda knew she'd f**ked up and needed to face the music.

But it wasn't blatantly obvious.

I think there were only a few Roger Moore one's that really did the business so to speak. (The spy who loved me, Live and Let Die, Man with the Golden Gun).

But definitely the gadgets and humour are missing, as are some proper kick ass bad guys and henchmen.

I kinda think the height of Bond was the early Connery.

The Dalton and Brosnan era certainly killed off all of the charms of the gadgets. I mean they just got really stupid.
