I can't vouch for what it's like now but last time I was in Bruges there was a restaurant called Chagall.

It's just off the main square IIRC. Stand with your back to the carillion and it's down one of the roads on the left.

A bit further on there was a bar/restaurant, sorry can't recall the name, where the food menu was a page and the beer menu abour five pages !

As someone once said to me (I was drinking Duvel) 'When someone has 13 of those we shout 'TIMBER!'

http://www.duvelmoortgat.be/index.php?id=en-duvel if you're not familiar with it . .

Oh. I see. That was the plot was it? Very funny I don't think !!! :)

Thanks for the recommend, Oldrocker. I visited Chagall and drank Duvel had a whale of a time. Cheers!

Huh?

It was a long shot but I had hoped you would have replied with "Not literally". Errr

You should never make assumptions. When you do that you make an ass out of me and... umptions?

You can get a cream for that.

Pub tonight:

Mate: How's your comedy writing career going?

Me: (Tries to earnestly examine failure in life)

Mate: Yeah, you're not being very funny

Me: Comedy is tragedy plus time. Who was the fella who said that? One of them Ancient Greeks?

Other mate: (A plausible answer I can't recall at the moment)

Me: Nah, it was Euripides, cos of that trousers joke, he was the comedy bloke from ancient Greeks

My Mother: Did he do that thing with the birds?

Me: That was Hitchcock

My Mother: No, that was later

Me: Laughing out loud Laughing out loud Laughing out loud

(I said I was going to put it on t'internet, so I have!)

Lols. People we know not only have to get used to things they say being used in our writing, but also being reported on the internet.

RIP James Herbert. Who continued the proud British apocalypse tradition of people like John Wyndham and John Christopher.

Haven't read any of his stuff, but the The Fog (film) was great.

RIP

Different fog, mon!

"Moon" and "The Magic Cottage" scared the poo out of me.

What is the difference between semi-finalist and runner-up?

What is the difference between semi-finalist and runner-up?

Runner-up is the one that lost the finals.
