Then

"The Longest Night" is mainly good...the only thing that bothers me is the acting style of the supermarket manager. It's the typical 70s overacting; a man desperately trying to be "funny" instead of playing natural/straight.

It is quite a funny one. But to be fair , they all great in my opinion!

After re-watching them all again, I would say the best feature length episode would be "The Jolly Boys Outing".

Jolly Boys Outing is one of the best Christmas specials. My personal favourite of those is probably 'To Hull and Back', but also quite like 'Dates' and 'The Frog's Legacy'. Also I quite enjoy 'Mother Nature's Son' as much of the episode including the allotment scenes is set in Brighton where I am from.

In terms of the best regular series episodes, this would be a rough top 10:

1) Danger UXD
2) Chain Gang
3) The Longest Night
4) Who's A Pretty Boy
5) It Never Rains
6) Healthy Competition
7) Tea For Three
8) Happy Returns
9) Go West Young Man
10) A Touch Of Glass

Watched series 1 and 2.

I think Ashes to ashes and A touch of glass is the best for me so fare.

The gay bar and luminous paint is very fun moments.

Ohh I might need to watch them all again to decide but they were all hilarious maybe a few episodes had weak stories but the comedy/humour was always there :D

Shame nothing on TV like that any more

From Series One
my favourites are
Go West Young Man the £25 car which had no brakes .

Christmas Crackers grandads turkey with the jiblets still in it .

Second Time Around psycho in a tower block.

The Russians are Coming the 4 minute warning.

Series 2

Long Legs of the Law rodney dating a female copper.

A Losing Streak the double headed coin.

The Yellow Peril Luminous yellow walls.

It Never Rains grandad arrested for jaywalking.
A Touch of Glass The famous Chandelier.

I pretty much agree with you on every single episode here.
Funnily many people seem to dislike the nuclear fallout shelter episode but I find it to be one of the highlights of the early episodes. For me it's like some kind of Porridge's "A Quiet Night In"...the protagonist solo in a very confined space.
Glad to see I'm not the only one who likes it.

I like reading people's scripts of OFAH

Never rated this show and its massive and well respected but I have never seen it as being really funny just amusing at times.
