I watched up to the first goal, then started watching comedy (flicking between various shows) instead.
From what I saw, I'd say we'd really benefit from Beckham coming back. As I've said before, he doesn't need to rely on speed, or even fitness, as much as other players do, because his passing/shooting is so good.

Switzerland are a solid enough side, not an easy first opponents for a 'new' England team. It was a good win, I just wish we'd play with the pace of the Premiership rather than slowing it down and adapting to continental style football. If you get the Villa boys in, Gabby Agbonlahor and Ashley Young, I'm sure that pace will come in (since its the only way they play) and spread to the rest of the team.

It may be pointless your side of the bridge but I swear the country sank three inches when everybody jumped up and down at the final whistle. By the by I think that Capello fellow will be good for England. He's a bigger name than any English player barring Becks and I think you need someone like that when you've got that many ego's running around the place.
